Studio Roof Transmitter, 2004
On the roof of his studio in Bowling Green, Ohio, Setzer inflated balloons with helium onto which he wrote the phrase, “ASPECTS OF IT REMAIN MYSTERIOUS TO ME AS WELL.” The balloons were then released into the atmosphere. The action continued for approximately twenty minutes—the duration of one tank of helium. While the performance was not “public,” and had no immediate audience, relics of the action were distributed around the city nonetheless.
